Welcome to Kula Shala, we want to help you come home to your body. Our goal is to help you discover true self expression through somatic movement and authentic community. Our instructors offer dynamic sequences that will not only make you stronger physically but also help move trauma out of the body increasing your emotional resilience. 

What is Buti Yoga? 

Buti means the cure to something hidden beneath the surface or kept secret in the Indian dialect Marathi.  It was founded in 2010 by celebrity trainer Bizzie Gold.

Buti is a practice for every-BODY. This practice helps you to integrate your emotional experience to feel at home in your body. We use beat-driven music to guide our intuitive practice, curating an atmosphere that engages all of the senses physical and spiritual.

Our Studio 

Welcome to our studio, located in the heart of Pagosa downtown.

 

Our space is filled with natural light streaming through the skylights, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The wood floors and floor-to-ceiling mirrors add a touch of elegance and serenity to the space. We take pride in providing a clean and safe environment for women to explore, enjoy their time on the mat, and connect with like-minded individuals.

Our Yoga Classes

Experience a wide range of yoga classes taught by a certified instructor. From gentle and restorative classes to dynamic and challenging ones, we offer something for everyone. Join us on the mat and discover the transformative power of yoga.

Buti Yoga

All levels welcome! This fun and dynamic class is what we specialize in. Buti is an all levels class we encourage you to step in and let go of what "it's supposed to look like", instead feel the movement in your body.  This practice will change your life! 

Private Prenatal

We offer a private prenatal class for mom's who need some winding down. If you have back pain, anxiety, or just need some extra support this is your class! This is much slower passed and more of a traditional vinyasa flow. We will focus on breath work and keeping mom calm.

Hot Yoga

Hot yoga is a wonderful way to detox and cleanse. It will also help regulate your nervous system and even improve mood and sleep. Our hot yoga classes are heated with infrared red light as well as other heating sources. Red light helps with cell regeneration and so much more!

Mason Evetts

Mason, the founder of our yoga studio, has always had a dream of creating a safe space for women to feel empowered and strong. She has her 200h YTT from a hot power yoga studio in Wilmington NC, she is Buti yoga certified, and she is a somatic movement practitioner. Mason strives to help women heal in a sustainable way and to help women be fully expressed in who they innately are.

Yoga Instructor

Rachel Stark 

Rachel Stark started on her yoga journey early on in life and has been teaching yoga for over fifteen years. She is interested in teaching and practicing yoga informed by her study of body mechanics, functional movement patterns and yogic philosophy. Her classes aim to support and cultivate strength, balance, endurance, peace and joy. She is a life-long athlete and has training and work experience in sports medicine. Rachel enjoys teaching challenging classes with creative and dynamic flows. Come to her classes prepared to breathe, sweat, center and most importantly have fun. When she is not teaching yoga, or writing novels you are likely to find her out running trails with her four-legged bestie, Winnie.
